SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Police arrested a 21-year-old man early this morning accused of stealing items from unlocked cars in a southeast Sioux Falls neighborhood.
Officer Sam Clemens says patrol saw car doors left open and found Kidane Aron Yousef nearby carrying a duffle bag.
Clemens says officer told Yousef to stop but he started running. He was caught near 36th Steeet and Pepper Ridge Circle. In the duffle bag police found cash, prescription drugs, cell phones, tablets and cigarettes.
He's accused of getting into five cars and an open garage.
Yousef is charged with burglary, criminal entry of a vehicle, fleeing, resisting and possession of a controlled substance.
