SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A Sioux Falls mother was arrested for child abuse while holding her eleven month old daughter, upside down, by her heel and dropping her on concrete while intoxicated.
Officer Sam Clemens says 24-year-old Jena Ashley Red Feather then had her four-year-old boy hold his year-and-a-half old brother.
Clemens says the four year was carrying the toddler when he accidently dropped it and that child hit his head too. The neighbors who witnessed the incident grabbed the kids and took them all to their apartment and called police.
Red Feather was passed out when police arrived and she couldn't remember where she was or details of the incident.
The children were kept at a local hospital overnight for observation and Clemens did not know their condition. The four year was taken into protective custody
