Sioux Falls City Clerk Tom Greco ruled that Stop the Funding's petition form was wrong and threw out about 6,400 signatures referring the city administration building to a possible public vote.
However, the situation is not that simple
KELO Radio found the correct forms to refer a city ordinance in less than a minute online.
So why couldn't Stop the Funding's Bruce Danielson? Because he says the city's $67,000 remodel of the city website failed, with broken links--including for the petitions--when he looked several weeks ago.
Plus, Danielson says he showed Greco the petition form he was using--only the first page, as Greco requested, not the second page with the different oath--and Greco marked it "received."
So, the city administration building saga continues.
