Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - Police have completed their alcohol compliance checks for August, with 18 of the 19 businesses refusing sale to the minor working with authorities.
The lone failure came from Looks Fine Foods at 6213 Old Village Place.
The clerk was issued a summons with a mandatory court date for furnishing alcohol to a person 18-20. Businesses that sell alcohol to a person under 21 can face fines and suspension or loss of their alcohol license.
In an effort to protect the young people of our community, the Sioux Falls Police Department will continue to conduct random alcohol compliance checks.
