SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-AM) A normally quiet street in Central Sioux Falls was rocked by gunfire on Monday.
Police say that multiple shots were fired and two houses were hit in the 2200 block of South Euclid Avenue. Numerous residents reported some sort of fight involving several black men.
A suspicious vehicle fled the street. A man at one of the houses had minor scrapes and cuts, confirmed there had been a fight, but was otherwise uncooperative with police.
Euclid Avenue, between Augustana University and the University of Sioux Falls, has its share of student parties, but gunfire in the street in broad daylight is not how the neighborhood usually rolls. The street is a mix of owner-occupied and rental properties.
