SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- There is a chance for some thunderstorms Sunday into Monday for the area.
In the immediate Sioux Falls area, the National Weather Service says storms may develop into the afternoon hours but are not expected to be severe. There is a marginal chance for severe weather in the Sioux Falls Area.

Tonight, storms should stay north of the Highway 14 corridor, but if they build to the south, a severe storm with heavy rain is possible.
The risk of additional storms on Monday will be mainly from late afternoon through the evening hours. Severe storm are possible, but there will be an increased threat for excessive rainfall and flash flooding, especially from southwest Minnesota toward the Iowa Great Lakes.
Temperatures Sunday and Monday are expected to be in the low 80’s, cooling into the low to mid 70’s midweek, before warming to around 80 for the start of the Labor Day weekend.
