SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - It'll be five to eight years before the I-90 interchange at Brandon is rebuilt but the state department of transportation wants input from residents at an open house tonight.
Engineer Steve Gramm says while the bridge is structurally sound it has exceeded it's service life.
Gramm says the bridges biggest problem is that its too narrow for a center turn lane. He says there are also some sight distance issues with the guard rails in relation to where the ramp intersection iss.
The open house starts tonight at six at the Holiday Inn Express in Brandon.
Gramm says the open house will be informal allowing for one-on-one discussion with the study team. The purpose is to inform the public of the study's intent, to take any concerns the public has and to gather ideas to help determine the future of interchange and corridor into Brandon.
