SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Undercover Sioux Falls Police this weekend made a number of arrests of massage parlor employees who did not have massage therapist licenses.
The police made arrests or issued citations to employees at the Asian Moonlight Relaxing Center, 1012 W 41st St., and Miracle Massage, 3404 S Western Ave.
Five women were arrested or cited for failing to have a massage license.
At Asian Moonlight Relaxing Center: Wyan Zhang, 52, Sioux Falls; Wue Hu, 62, Sioux Falls; and Lingyu Luo Tefft, 61, Sioux Falls.
At Miracle Massage: Yingien Lee, 50, Sioux Falls, also charged with no sales tax license; and Xiuyun Li, 59, Sioux Falls.
Police information officer Sam Clemens says there have been concerns in the past of immigration violations, prostitution, and human trafficking at massage parlors. He said the department was still investigating. Clemens said he had not heard of any Asian gang activity in the area.
