SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- The Sioux Falls Community Blood Bank collected 60 pints of donated blood at the Rise and Shine Blood Drive Friday morning.
KELO-AM, Camille's and the South Dakota Pork Producers were sponsors.
What does 60 pints of blood mean?
"This saves up to 180 patients lives within our community," said Ken Versteeg, director of the blood bank.
The blood bank serves hospitals in South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota.
