SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO AM) – The South Dakota Department of Transportation says regularly scheduled bridge maintenance will begin on Interstate 229 the week of Aug. 8, 2016.
Crews will be sealing the deck surfaces on the bridges over the Big Sioux River north of Rice Street (Exit 7) on Aug. 8-9.
Crews will then move to the bridges over the Big Sioux River north of 26th Street (Exit 5) on Aug. 10, 11 and 15.
The work will take place between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the days indicated. Motorists can expect lane closures, minor delays, suddenly slowing and merging traffic, and be alert for construction equipment and workers in the area.
