SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Though the project is delayed a few months, the Arc of Dreams sculpture on the Big Sioux River in downtown, is creating buzz.
Mike Constanzo, a supporter of the Arc of Dreams says there's already national interest in the sculpture--and it's not even finished yet.
"We're already getting people like Delta Airlines, they want to know when it is up and they are going to feature it in their Sky magazine," Costanzo told The Greg Belfrage Show this morning.
Supporters say the project could bring over half a million visitors to downtown each year, doubling what the Sculpture Walk brings to the city.
But once the Arc is finished this fall, don't think about trying to climb on it.
"I don't even see how people can start to climb on it," the Sculpture Walk's Jim Clark said. "But if they do get up there, there's going to be some mesh inside the sculpture that you can't see that will deter people from going any further."
When completed, supporters say it will be an additional symbol of Sioux Falls.
"It's going to be an iconic sculpture for the city," Clark said. "It will be featured in a lot of marketing pieces, by businesses, by the City, by the CVB, by the Chamber."
The project is still soliciting financial supporters.
