SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- They did not make a big deal of it, but a number of city councilors, county commissioners, state legislators, staff members and their spouses served at The Banquet last night.
The Banquet serves meals to the homeless, the working poor, the elderly, and anyone else who is hungry.
Some of the officials who served last night were: Councilors Janet Brekke, Greg Neitzert, Rick Kiley, Marshal Selberg, Theresa Stehly, and Pat Starr; Erica Beck and T.J. Nelson from the Mayor's office; City department heads/staffers Jill Franken, Bill O'Toole and Mark Cotter, and Jodi Fick; Police Chief Matt Burns; Fire Chief Brad Goodroad; Legislators Deb Soholt, Tom Holmes, Jaime Smith, Greg Jamison, Dan Ahlers, Larry Zikmund, Jim Bolin, Jack Kolbeck, Doug Barthel, and Reynold Nesiba; and County Commissioner Gerald Beninga.
