SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) – Here are the major road projects that could hinder your commute in Sioux Falls starting Monday:
Lane Closure - Minnesota Avenue
Beginning on Monday, July 23, 2018, the outside southbound lane of South Minnesota Avenue will be closed south of 11th Street to allow construction crews to perform concrete repairs. Two lanes of southbound traffic will be maintained by shifting one lane into the center turn lane.
Weather permitting this work is anticipated to be completed within one week.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Lane Closures - Tenth Street
Beginning on Monday evening, July 23, 2018, East Tenth Street will be reduced to one westbound lane between Second Avenue and Phillips Avenue. In conjunction with this lane reduction, River Road will be reopened to one lane of traffic in each direction between Tenth Street and Phillips Avenue. Access will be maintained to local businesses.
The lane reduction on East Tenth Street is to allow for the completion of pavement work.
Weather permitting, Tenth Street is anticipated to be reopened to traffic in approximately two weeks.
Drivers and pedestrians are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
