SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- A Worthington, Minnesota dentist doing contract work at the Minnehaha County Jail has been charged with inappropriate touching of inmates at the jail.
Sheriff Mike Milstead says the investigation has identified at least five current and former female inmates at the jail have indicated they were inappropriately touched by Dr. Andrew Heinisch.
Heinisch was doing work as a subcontractor for Armor Correctional Health Services since March 2016. Heinisch no longer has access to the County Jail.
Sheriff Milstead says the investigation started June 9. An arrest warrant was issued for Heinisch. He voluntarily turned himself in and posted a $10,000 cash bond.
Heinisch will make his first court appearance July 23.
