SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Sioux Falls Fire Rescue is investigating the cause of a fire at Five Flag Auto Sales yesterday evening.
There were no injuries.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.
The business is located at 3204 North Cliff Avenue.

Sioux Falls, South Dakota: At 6:23 p.m. on July 19, 2018, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to a report of a structure fire at Five Flags Auto Sales at 3204 N Cliff Avenue. The first arriving crew noted light smoke near the front of a two story commercial building and investigated. All occupants were confirmed to be out of the structure.
Initial investigation revealed a small fire in the front office area of the building, which was quickly extinguished. Crews opened the floor and walls in the affected area to ensure there was no further spread of the fire. After clearing the smoke from the building, Fire Inspector Schmidt began his investigation into the fire cause and origin. The fire remains under investigation.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded with four fire trucks, three support vehicles, 19 firefighters and the Fire Department Chaplain. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue was assisted on scene by the Sioux Falls Police Department, Paramedics Plus Ambulance, Xcel Energy, and MidAmerican Energy.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue would remind residents to test their smoke detectors monthly, check the detector’s expiration date, and have an evacuation plan in place for your family.
