SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- The City of Sioux Falls has announced several road construction projects that might affect your commute over the next several weeks. We will post the latest updates on road projects and updated information as it becomes available.
Street Closure – 26th Street
Beginning on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the outside eastbound lane of East 26th Street will be closed between South Stephen Avenue and South Bahnson Avenue.
First Rate Excavate will be performing concrete work.
This work is anticipated to be complete by the end of day on June 27, 2018.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Street Closure – Grange Avenue
Beginning on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, South Grange Avenue will be closed between West 14th Street and West 15th Street. Traffic will be detoured.
First Rate Excavate will be performing utility work.
This work is anticipated to be complete by the end of day on June 22, 2018.

Lane Closure – 41st Street
Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday morning, June 21, 2018, the outside eastbound lane of West 41st Street will be closed for 200 feet approximately two blocks to the west of South Kiwanis Avenue.
Xcel Energy will be performing utility work.
This work is anticipated to be complete by the afternoon of June 21, 2018.

Rescheduled Lane Closure – 41st Street
Kelly Avenue, and Westport Avenue
Due to the wet weather forecast, the outside eastbound lane closures on 41st Street at Kelly Avenue and Westport Avenue are being delayed until Monday, June 25, 2018.
Beginning on Monday, June 25, 2018, the outside eastbound lane on West 41st Street will be closed at the South Kelly Avenue and South Westport Avenue intersections. Additionally, South Kelly Avenue and South Westport Avenue will be closed at West 41st Street. Business access will be maintained to South Kelly Avenue and South Westport Avenue via West 43rd Street.
This is the next phase of a project to upgrade the ADA accessible curb ramps and sidewalk at select intersections along the West 41st Street and South Minnesota Avenue corridors.
Work at this location is anticipated to be complete in approximately two weeks. Additional updates will be provided for future phases, however, motorists should expect outside lane closures along these corridors throughout the summer. Access to businesses will be maintained.
