SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Councilor Marshall Selberg is optimistic that Councilors can reach a compromise tonight on changes to public input at Council meetings.
"I was heartened to see everyone make an effort to come together on a compromise last week, that’s how good government should work for its citizens," Selberg wrote in an email to KELO.com News. "It was my understanding everyone made a commitment to support this compromise, I will do so, and have expectations my fellow councilors will do the same."
Selberg says the idea behind the ordinance was to "have a long overdue discussion on public input and find ways to make it better and more effective."
"I believe following through and getting this compromise passed does that," Selberg said.
The Council considers three ordinances tonight at their 7 p.m. meeting regarding changes to public input.
