SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Hot, sticky weather didn't keep revelers from Sioux Falls and around the area from attending the Sioux Falls Pride Fest at Terrace Park today.

Events included drag queen shows, entertainers, over 70 vendors, an inflatable jumpy castle for children, a"Puppy Pride" area for dogs, and food trucks.

A number of Democratic politicians had booths, signing up voters and giving out campaign literature.

The Sioux Falls Police had a booth, as did banks like Wells Fargo and Service First Credit Union. Several social welfare agencies such as Volunteers of America-Dakota had displays, as did LGBTQ organizations like Equality South Dakota, HRC, and TransNation South Dakota.

Rainbow flags were in abundance, with many young people wearing the flags as capes. The terrace area would fill during the afternoon for the drag shows and musicians. Others simply circulated through the booths, taking in the scene with friends and family members.
