SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- State wide voter turnout in Tuesday's election in South Dakota was only about 27 percent.
The Secretary of State's Office reports that with all precincts reporting, just over 144,000 ballots were cast out of nearly 531,000 registered voters.
Turn out was even lower in the Sioux Falls area.
In Minnehaha County, turnout was about 18 percent. In Lincoln County, turnout added up to only 22 percent.
