SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - There's an opportunity this weekend for women and their children; male or female, between ages ten and seventeen, to experience an outdoor sportsman's pursuits.
Brenda Haviland with Women in the Outdoors says the day's schedule is packed. She says there's archery, pistol and shotgun training, sporting clays, geocaching and Dutch Oven cooking.
Haviland says the event is an opportunity for women and their families to discover the joys of being outdoors in the Upper Midwest. She says the course attracts newcomers but there are many repeat attendees each year too.
Registration fee is $50 for women over the age of 17. For youth under 17 the fee is $15.
