SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- One of the issues the new Mayor and City Council will face is whether to build a new downtown baseball stadium or refurbish Sioux Falls Stadium.
Mayor Mike Huether, who leaves office today, says a new downtown park does not make sense.
"For most, it just doesn't make good common sense," Huether told It's Your Business this morning, just hours before leaving office. "But then you throw in business sense. You know, the amount of dollars it would cost. The return. Where is the land?"
Incoming Mayor Paul TenHaken last week retweeted an article that was supportive of a downtown ballpark and asked, "What do you think about this, Sioux Falls?"
