SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- The city gets a new Mayor and two new City Councilors 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Paul TenHaken will be sworn in as Mayor, replacing two-term Mayor Mike Huether.
Janet Brekke replaces two-term City Councilor Rex Rolfing in one of the two At-Large seats.
Curt Soehl replaces two-term City Councilor Michelle Erpenbach in the Central District.
The other At-Large Councilor, Christine Erickson, was relected for a second term. Southeast District Councilor Rick Kiley was unopposed and receives a second term.
Remaining on the Council in the middle of their first terms are Northwest District Councilor Greg Neitzert, Southwest District Councilor Marshall Selberg, Northeast District Councilor Pat Starr, and At-Large Councilor Theresa Stehly.
There will be a reception following the installation ceremony for the newly elected officials.
The new Council holds its first Informational Meeting at 4 p.m., followed by the City Council Meeting at 7 p.m.
Councilors will select their Chair and Vice Chair for the coming term. Erickson is the current Vice Chair and city hall watchers expect her to seek the Chair, currently held by Kiley. Starr has also indicated his interest in the position. Starr and Selberg have also declared their interest in the Vice Chair position.
