Citi turns dirt for new HQ

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- One of Sioux Falls largest employers, Citi, broke ground on Wednesday for its new headquarters complex.

The 150,000 square foot facility is being built on 19 acres at the Interstate Business Park at the intersections of Interstates 29 and 229.

Citi says it will be filled with the latest state-of-the-art technology.

Among the VIPs turning the ceremonial dirt was Mayor-elect Paul TenHaken, just a few shovels down from Mike Huether, the man he's replacing May 15.
