SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Sioux Falls Mayor-elect Paul TenHaken says he's rolling his sleeves up and diving into the job.
He joked on KELO Radio's Greg Belfrage Show the morning after his runoff election victory over Jolene Loetscher that he wasn't going to the beach or anything.
He is putting together a transition team and will be picking the brain of outgoing Mayor Mike Huether.
"Spending time with the current mayor obviously and learning a lot from him, as much as I can before he leaves." TenHaken takes over April 15.
He's ready, he tells the Belfrage Show, because you have to expect to win so "you can hit the ground running." He says he's ready to start his 100 Days plan.
TenHaken overwhelmingly defeated Loetscher by over 25 percentage points.
