SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - (KELO.com) Shovel, check...Hand tools, check...seeds, check...
You have all the things you need to start your garden, but have you prepared the most important thing, yourself? We've been inside now for five months and have been looking forward to this time to come so make sure you prepare yourself to enjoy your time in the sun.
Stretching before, and after, your time outside, will help you enjoy the experience by helping to limit a sore back, shoulders, and knees. The American Chiropractic Association advises "be aware of your body technique, body form and correct posture while gardening. Kneel, don't bend, and alternate your stance and movements as often as possible to keep the muscles and body balanced."
You will still need your hat and gloves to prevent any skin irritations and over exposure to the sun.
