SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- There have been more than 30 inches of snow this April in Sioux Falls.
KELO.com News asked National Weather Service Forecaster Kyle Weisser why so much snow this late in the season?
"I think for the most part, it really comes down to luck." Weisser didn't say whether it was good or bad luck.
Weisser says that this may wind up being the third or fourth snowiest winter ever in the Sioux Falls area
"Our four heaviest snows of the year all came in the month of April, which I would find it extremely shocking if that has ever happened before."
Don't forget that May follows April. Weisser says it was only two or four years ago that it snowed in May. He's not predicting it this May. He's just saying...
Thanks Kyle.
