SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Mayor Mike Huether has responded to City Council candidate Janet Brekke's accusations that the administration is mishandling the filing of executive orders and other documents.
Huether sent a written reply to KELO.com News. He says, "Our HR team is the expert when it pertains to Executive Orders. Most of them were in place before I was honored to serve, but HR has recommended tweaks now and then. Bill O’Toole sent Janet Brekke an email that goes into great detail and answers her questions."
The Mayor has asked O'Toole, the City's director of human resources, to release the email noted above to KELO.com News. We'll add that document to this story once we receive it.
Brekke made her charges about the Mayor's office and the City Clerk's Office and transparency issues at a news conference this morning.
