SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Two former employees of the Little Blessings Learning Center in Sioux Falls have been accused of repeated, violent abuse of children during nap time.
Surveillance video at the day care center tells the shocking story, as described by Police Spokesman Sam Clemens.
"Pick up the kids several feet off the ground, slam them on to the sleep mat. There were times when they were stepped on. There were times when their heads were banged around. They were yanked up by their arms."
Kenedi Wendt, 22, and Teresa Gallagher, 31, have both been charged with 25 counts of abuse.
Clemens says the parents told the investigator that their kids were giving them troubling clues.
"They volunteered that the kids didn't like nap time. That seemed a little odd, but after he was able to review the video and found what was taking place, it all made sense."
