SIOUX FALLS (KELO.com) -- Beginning on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, Arrowhead Parkway from Sycamore Avenue through Highline Avenue will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction as work begins on Phase Two of the Arrowhead Parkway reconstruction project.
Work on this project will include underground utility upgrades, street light and traffic signal upgrades, and widening Arrowhead Parkway to six lanes with a center median east of Sycamore Avenue through Highline Avenue. The contractor completed the intersection of Highline Avenue and Arrowhead Parkway in fall of 2017 and will complete the remaining portion of the project in 2018.
The overall project is anticipated to be fully open to traffic by late fall of 2018 with additional work occurring in the medians and outside the roadway in the spring of 2019.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
