SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Avera Health has announced a new $8 million facility to help people addicted to drugs and alcohol.
The Avera Addiction Care Center will be part of the new Avera campus being developed at 69th and Louise in Sioux Falls.
The new center will consist of two one-story building with a total of 20,000 square feet.
There will be private rooms, group dining, treatment and meditation spaces inside and a courtyard and walking trails outside.

Avera's announcement comes amid a nationwide drug epidemic that, sadly, has had a terrible impact on South Dakota and the entire region.
