SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- A Sioux Falls organization that promotes snakes and other reptiles and amphibians says it's being unfairly picked on.
In a Facebook post (see at right), the Sioux Falls Herpetological Society claims the City is unfairly enforcing an exotic animal ordinance against them.
In a share of the post, City Council Greg Neitzert says he's looking into the matter with City officials.
The group says they will no longer provide educational talks as they don't want their animals confiscated by Animal Control.
Animal Control is under the police.
Police spokesman Sam Clemens today said he's not aware of any change in department policy on the enforcement of the exotic animal ordinance.
