BERESFORD, S.D. (KELO.com) -- A vehicle is towed into a body shop in Beresford after an interstate crash. Now here's the rest of the story from the police.
They don't think anybody's in the damaged vehicle. They can't see anyway, but a man suddenly jumps out of the trunk and runs into town. Turns out the vehicle's been stolen from Mitchell.
The trunk jumper slugs one cop during a foot chase, jumps over the counter of the local Burger King and attacks three employees.
To top it off, he tries to steal a trooper's car. A taser stops him.
Authorities says it looks like meth is involved.
Kenneth Charles Edward, 36, is jailed.
