SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls police say there are several victims of clone credit cards, numbers somehow stolen and used to buy gift cards or merchandise.
Officer Sam Clemens says it's not clear how the numbers were breached.
Clemens says investigators don't know where the man and woman are getting the numbers from. But he says they may have paid someone else for the numbers and came to Sioux Falls.
The victims are local which gives the operation a shadow of legitimacy and the cards don't demand scrutiny from the businesses the suspects go to.
Clemens says the man and woman have been using stolen credit card numbers over the last couple of week and are advising you check your account for any unusual activity.
