SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- On November 5, 2017, A man was shot in the chest by his wife inside their home at 1808 West 10th Street in Sioux Falls, and died as a result.
The woman told officers that she shot her husband in self-defense. No one else was present in the residence at the time of the shooting.
Sioux Falls Police investigated and provided all available evidence to the Minnehaha County State's Attorney's Office.
It has been determinded that the shooting was likely in self-defense and therefore a justifiable homicide under South Dakota law.
No charges will be forthcoming at this time.
