NEAR CHICAGO, ILL. (KELO.com) -- Police in a Chicago suburb have shot and killed a Sioux Falls man.
The Chicago Tribune reports that the cops got involved with Jimmy Terry, 30, after he allegedly threatened a car dealership employee with a knife in Merrillville, Illinois.
The police chief tells the Tribune that two of his officers have been placed on paid administrative leave as a result, following standard protocol.
Video of the shooting obtained by the newspaper apparently shows Terry getting out of a vehicle, approaching the officers with something in his hand that appeared to be a knife.
Terry died at the hospital.
No details on Terry, whether he relocated to the Chicago area from Sioux Falls, or was just visiting or on business.
