SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- A Brandon man has been convicted of distribution and receipt of child pornography in federal court in Sioux Falls Monday.
John McKenzie, 24, was sentenced to 97 months custody and five years of supervised release.
McKenzie was indicted for distribution and receipt of child pornography by a federal grand jury on December 6, 2016. He pled guilty on November 2, 2017.
Between July 19, 2015 and May 10, 2016, McKenzie lived in Brandon and had a computer with internet access. Connecting to “Omegle” and “Kik Messenger,” McKenzie received and distributed digital files containing images and videos of child pornography. Many of the images of child pornography depicted prepubescent minors.
