Four years of planning comes to fruition this week with the Sioux Falls Air Show this weekend.
Members of the Commemorative Air Force and the South Dakota Civil Air Patrol were out Sunday morning at Maverick Air Center fencing off a secure area for nearly 20 World War II vintage war birds that will be part of the show. They were also setting up the new hangar at Maverick for a World War II-themed Hangar Dance Thursday evening.
The Navy’s Blue Angels will perform Saturday and Sunday. Admission to the air show is free, with shuttles running guests to Joe Foss Field.
