SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- A dangerous winter storm will impact the area through Monday night.
Winter Storm and Blizzard Warnings have been issued for parts of South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa and Minnesota. Snow accumulations from a dusting to 18 inches may fall depending where you are.
The National Weather Service is saying that the immediate Sioux Falls area can expect five to nine inches of snow with localized amounts of up to a foot. This can change with the track of the storm. Sioux Falls is in a Winter Storm Warning from 6:00 Sunday evening to 6:00 Monday evening.
To the south and east of Sioux Falls, Blizzard Warnings have been issued. Travel may be impossible at times Sunday night into Monday night with winds gusting to 35 to 40 mph or more at times.
