A Winter Storm Warining will be in effect from 6:00 Sunday evening to 6:00 Monday evening

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- A developing winter storm could drop significant snow around the area Sunday afternoon into Monday. The National weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch, will be in effect from 3:00 Sunday afternoon to 6:00 Monday evening.
Even though the track is not certain yet, current thinking is anywhere from four inches to close to a foot is possible with this storm. Amounts could change, so stay aware of the latest forecasts.
In addition, winds will pick up, gusting 35 to 40 will reduce visibilities in rural areas. The National Weather Service is saying that blizzard conditions are possible with the storm.
If you can’t delay travel plans Sunday night or Monday, make sure that you have a winter survival kit in your vehicle. Let people know your route and time of arrival. If you get stranded, stay with your vehicle.
