SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- An organizer of Saturday's Women's March in Sioux Falls disputes critics who claim it's really just an anti-Trump march.
"It's more anti-divisive and pro-rights, so if that makes it anti-Trump....I don't know, I'd have a hard time saying that would, necessarily, be anti-Trump." says Sue Bentz.
Bentz says the march is about "diversity" and "solidarity" among women, and not just women, but anyone who wants to march. she mentions the importance of the "Me Too" movement and how that has helped empower women.
Another issue important to Bentz is expanding health care.
"More than 3-million people have lost their health insurance in the last year and we have seen very ugly sides of some things that have gone on in the United States."
Bentz says the League of Women Voters will be on hand to register people to vote.
The sponsors of the march include Planned Parenthood and Sioux Falls Center for Equality. There also will be a march in Pierre on Saturday.
About 3,000 people marched last year.
The Minnehaha County Republican Party is highly critical of the Women's March, saying that the idea it represents the views of all women is "laughable."
