SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- The results are in and it was close!
The Sioux Falls Police Department narrowly edged Sioux Falls Fire Rescue in the Heroes Behind the Badge blood drive.
The police had 530 units of blood donated and the fire department had 518.
A unit is about a pint of blood.
The Sioux Falls Community Blood Bank honored the first responders and sponsors--including KELO-AM--at a luncheon today.
