SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Another drug rip gone wrong in Sioux Falls, but, at least, nobody died in this one.
Police Spokesman Sam Clemens says the drug buyers tried to rip off the sellers.
"Suspects had a gun and shot at the sellers. I think it was three times..." Clemens says nobody was hit. These are the gunshots you may have heard in southwestern Sioux Falls in the 3500 block of South Larch Avenue on Saturday.
Gemechu Yassin, 20, has been charged with robbery, and a teenage boy, 16, has been charged with robbery and aggravated assault.
Only a tiny amount of marijuana was involved.
In the last drug rip in Sioux Falls earlier this month, two people were shot dead. Two suspects have been arrested, but the main suspect is still at large.
The drug epidemic continues to grow in Sioux Falls and across the region.
