Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls Police say an early evening crash on East 10th Street has left one person with life threatening injuries and four others with minor injuries.
The incident occurred just after 5:30 on Friday when a Ford F-150 driven by a Harrisburg man drifted from the Eastbound lane into oncoming traffic. He struck a Chrysler minivan driven by a 31 year old Sioux Falls woman head on. Her van then spun and hit a Pontiac that was also westbound.
The driver of the minivan was extracted at the scene and is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, according to police. Three children were in the vehicle with her, two of them suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Pontiac was not injured; however one child in the car with her was treated for a minor injury at the scene.
Police say the driver of the Ford pickup did suffer minor injuries and was being treated at a Sioux Falls hospital. Charges may be pending against him. No further details were immediately available, police say they'll release more information during Monday's briefing.
