SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- The saying goes, if you don’t like the weather (or even if you do), it will change.
A brief stretch of above normal temperatures begins today, but an abrupt return to winter is on the horizon later this week. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper thirties through Wednesday.
Confidence is increasing that accumulating snow will occur somewhere in the Northern Plains Wednesday into Thursday. However, there is still quite a bit of uncertainty in the timing and track of this system, and thus it is far too early to pinpoint snowfall amounts or location.
Lows Thursday night will be back below zero, with highs into the weekend only in the single digits above zero.
