SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- The Sioux Falls community helped find Lola after seven days, but Lilo is still missing.

It was the most heartwarming story of the bitterly cold holiday weekend when Lola the boxer was finally found alive and basically well, but Lilo the toy spaniel has been missing since December 27.

His owner, Megan King, 17, says the reward is now up to $1,000. Lilo is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, a toy breed.

"It's really scary because we really don't know where he is. Even though I think somebody has him, and is keeping him right now, It's just scary to think he could potentially be out in the cold."

Megan, and sometimes volunteers, have been driving through neighborhoods, knocking on doors, even calling out to Lilo, hoping he will answer.

If you can help or know anything give Megan a call at 605-351-6316.

Megan's concern is touched with irony.

"The funny thing, though, is that Lilo actually does mean lost. It's a Polynesian name. That was their word for lost."

The owner of Lola the boxer, Mandy Klinkhammer was visiting her family when the dog ran out of the garage on Christmas Eve. Word got out and even a Facebook group page was developed called 'Looking for Lola', that eventually drew thousands of members.
