SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The 25th annual JazzFest opens today at six at Yankton Trail Park.
Rob Joyce with Jazz and Blues Society says JazzFest is free thanks to corporate sponsorship and donations from concert-goers.
Joyce says even if you can put five or ten dollars in the donation can as you go by, it helps JazzFest immensely. He won't reveal how much JazzFest costs but it's more than what the general public realizes.
Tonight's headliner is Tab Benoit who is scheduled to take the stage at 9. JazzFest runs through Saturday.
JazzFest also features many talented local and regional artists on its second stage. There are a dozen jazz, blues, hip-hop, folk bluegrass and rock acts during the festival.
