SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) - It's always that difficult question. Have that last drink, or not?
The ride share company Lyft came to Sioux Falls in October, and one downtown Sioux Falls bar owner says he sees it making a difference. Brian White, co-owner of the Carpenter Bar on Phillips Avenue, says he's seeing patrons stay longer at his bar, because they're not so worried about driving.
"Lyft has been good for people who think they might be one over the edge," White said. "Alot of people, instead of taking that risk, say it's just too easy (to use Lyft). They just send a text message and have Lyft pick them up. That's what I've noticed with some of our clients in the bar."
White says he's used the service a couple of times as well.
"For the most part it's a nice vehicle with friendly drivers," he said. "Everything I've heard has been pretty positive."
