SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- It's the Sioux Falls Battle of Email versus Snail Mail.
City Councilor Theresa Stehly is sending out a post card that suggests that citizens oppose the public/private parking ramp/hotel/mixed use project downtown on Mall Avenue.
However, the other side is not staying silent.
Project investor and businessman Larry Canfield is sending out an email asking people to call the council and express their support for Tuesday's vote.
In her snail mail post card, Stehly, among other points, asks, "Who are the investors in this unique Public/Private partnership? The City says those names will be confidential. The public has a right to know who we are doing business with."
In the Canfield email, among other issues, notes, "This unique public/private partnership will help address the critical need for additional parking capacity in the downtown area. It will also increase and enhance the many outstanding shopping, dining, entertainment and living experiences available in our increasingly vibrant downtown area."

Canfield's email also included attachments of the artist's rendition of the project and his company's logo.
Both missives ask recipients to contact their City Council members and give them their thoughts about the project. The City Council is scheduled to vote on a second reading approving the project Tuesday evening.
