UNDATED (KELO.com) -- It's not easy for Minnesota Republicans in glass houses to throw too many stones at Democratic U.S. Senator Al Franken.

State Party Chair Jennifer Carnahan says the allegations against Franken are very disturbing, very disappointing, but KELO.com News also asked her about the brewing sex scandal involving lawmakers in St. Paul.

A woman lawmaker has accused at least two state legislators, one Democrat, one Republican, of sexual harassment.

"If those allegations are proven to be true, I will be one of the first ones coming out boldly and wildly for a resignation." says Carnahan.

Carnahan says sexual harrassment of any kind is completely unacceptable and she supports the Republican House Leadership's decision to conduct an outside independent investigation.

But now back to Franken.

"I believe Minnesota deserves better representation than this in the U.S. Senate."

By the way, Carnahan says she has never experienced sexual harassment on her job or in the political world.
