SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Tesla's first charging station for its electric cars in Sioux Falls is now up and charging.
There are now eight superchargers in the parking lot of the Hy-Vee on South Marion Road. They are available 24/7.
Tesla is in a concerted effort to get charging stations across the country and Sioux Falls was one of the larger missing links, until now. There are already charging stations at other points in South Dakota, including Murdo and Rapid City.
The high tech company run by Elon Musk has been having its share of troubles, including a massive $619 million loss in the last quarter and slowing production for its electric cars.
